It has been a terrible week for me. It started with a small incident happened last Monday. In the afternoon, walking back to my room, I felt the spinning of my stomach. WELL, it looks normal, maybe I ate something dirty?..... And so I din really care bout it. During nite time, my stomach doesn't look tat ok. So took the chinese herb pills in small packet which i normally took it when i had stomachache last time. It looks like my stomach went better a bit, but later, my tummy can't tahan anymore, went to toilet and "PIIIII PIAKKKK~~~~~" Yea had a terrible time in toilet....... T.T
Oh yea!!! Finally finish the business in the toilet and i need to continue my tutorial until 1am and planned to wake up around 8am since my class started on 9. BUT THEN AGAIN, my stomach LOVES ME A LOT. Around 6.00am, i was FORCED to wake up and run to the toilet and again, business.
What a day.........
Told my senior bout it, and she found another senior to bring me to the clinic. Thanks wong ning for ur availability and thanks kuo chun for the transport :D After reaching the clinic, it looks like so quiet. :O anyways, the doctor asked bout what i haf eaten.
"Err, the pau from the mesra shop. The red bean one and the yam one."
"Ayam?"
".......... is Y.A.M. ..... YAM, not ayam."
"Oh... maybe the yam is not fresh and mungkin basi sudah, tapi mereka simpan balik dan panaskan lagi."
"oooooooo...."
And the doctor gave me diarrhoea pills and "wind" pills cz she said that my tummy got lotsa "angin". ZZZZZZZ...... then she reminded me nt to take daily products, and suggests that I take bread and biscuit. Around noon time, cz i forgot to take mc, so hafta go back AGAIN. ZZZ and i saw Bel's coursemate - Jason. He is sick as well. Same problem like mine. I wonder what we haf eaten =\
On wed, hafta attend a talk by the deputy ministry of higher education, a chinese dude that i haf forgotten his name......... anyways, after the talk, i had terrible headache, deep into my head. So, go back rest lor. Then Bel came back around 1pm, and changed his clothes, and sleep.
Wadafush? macam nt like him de .....
Anyways, i went to rest and woke up around 5pm, my head pain like safasdfsafs, but Bel is still in his bed. I went to toilet and ask 1 of our english tutorial classmates.
"Ah boon ah, go wake Bel up eh."
Then i went to toilet and came back and....
"He said he had fever"
.............
And so he started to sick on wed. I finish my medicine in the noon time, so nite time, i felt the spinning again, this time macam washing machine, damn pain. And the next day, i woke up super early, 5.30am, just for that AGAIN. ZZZZZZZZZZ
I called my senior- Chung Ginn to bring me to clinic OUTSIDE UTP. and SO LUCKY, the CLINICS in tronoh, near my uni, all close. MEMANG HENG. for 1 clinic, 11am edi still dun wanna open. for another one, it opens around 5.30pm till 9pm.
Mampuslah....
Then bought some biscuits and 100+ then went back to UTP to see the doctor there ..... AGAIN. Then i saw Jason coming. I was like .....
"Eh? still sick ? medicine finish liaw eh?"
"How you know?"
"I think we got the same medicine.... lol..... "
Then, Bel came as well.
"Errrr ... bad fever huh?"
"Yeap......"
And 3 of us waited for the doctor. After 1.5 hours, FINALLY MY TURN. When i went in, the doctor......
"Eh kenapa? Diarrhoea lagi?"
"Yea, still cant recover. after i finish the medicine, i start to diarrhoea again"
"You got any fever?"
"No leh......"
"Well i give u the diarrhoea pills again, and gastric medicine, if this sunday you still diarrhoea, monday you come and ambil darah, cz maybe it can be dengue fever."
Oh yea dengue fever, no fever pun zzzzz....... Anyways, friday, a day when i had a terrible headache. Cant even cough and sneeze. T.T Nite time, i went for church care group and Bel cant go, cz he is kinda sick. Ah well, after the care group, went to ipoh and stayed overnite at Bro Chee Lim's house. He is 1 of our church leader.
Saturday morning, woke up with gila headache. Took a panadol and tahan dulus. And 9.30am, went to new church location and helped to clean and paint. And yeah, finished 85% of it. On sunday, went to church and saw Bel looks ok already. Gud lor. But he still needs to finish the antibiotic.
......
Anyways now im recovered, still need to jaga bout what i gonna eat. And for u guys, dont simply eat things yo, maybe u will end up like what i had. :O
Dame, i haven read the lab manual. later got lab session ...... CIAOS!

Back there and guess what?
Heck yea, we're back in uni ol' days. Woke up at 4 in the morning to catch a flight at 6.20am by MAS Airlines. We boarded the plane at 6 and calculated we'd be in KL by 8.30am. Unexpectedly, we never left ground until 2 hours later. So that just delayed the day's plans by 2hours- Hoorah, staying aboard a flightless plane for 2 hours, what a thrilling experience, it's too much excitement to take! :D
So anyway, the taxi man I called for booking earlier the day before, Mr.Law, told us his story when we entered his cab. He woke up at 4am and slowly drove his way from Ipoh to KL and reached at about 8am. So he thought "I'm here early so I guess I can rest abit" but lil' did he know that when he received my sms stating "Uncle, my flight has been delayed for about 2hours". That's when he groaned and grabbed a newspaper to spend some time over it until 10.30am. So the moral of the story - delays mess up big time the schedules of many peeps' lives doesn't it? HMM?
The journey back to UTP was a long 3hour and hot one (the cab is an antique Mercedes Benz so the air-conditioning was utterly poor t.t) Luckily, we stopped by a small restaurant to grab quick refreshments since lunchtime came over at 1 o'clock. It wasn't long until we reached UTP although Mr.Law used small kampung side roads instead of using main highways xD We got there at around 2pm or so, then we settled our hostel arrangements.
We were supposed to do some cleaning but it seemed most of the major parts were done before we arrived - the lights, fans, tables, corners. Even the old rotting beds were replaced with new plastic wrapped ones. Guess that saved us alot of fuss. They even fixed my locker's lock so now I can lock it with a padlock, the only prob is that I didn't have one - yet.
So we just did some minor polishing and wiping. While I was changing water for my pail, I came across a notice stating - Age-Zine -Cartoonists(with a picture of a poorly drawn dino) Reading the further details, I discovered that they it was an audition to find cartoonists for a magazine and it's going on that night at 8.30pm. After some thought, I thought I should give it a go!
I took a quick nap then before i took a bath and me dinner. Then after grabbing my weapons - stationery stuffs* - I headed out to the venue and sat there..sat...sat..
There weren't many chinese (in fact I think I was the only one xD) the tables and seats were limited so I was lucky I came early (I think). We were given time for warm-ups before the briefing but hey I don't need any. Waseh xD I din't bring any scraps of paper to practice on so I just scrolled through my K770i to delete old messages - loser.
So after 10 minutes or so, the host briefed us in Malay language. The theme is 'alam sekitar & usahawan' but then he explained that it doesn't really matter but more to open theme. He said that the piece can be part of a comic page or a poster cover for it. He also added that those who will be picked for the cartoonists will get to draw a 6 page comic and get it published in a Mag-I-Don't-Know.
Rules - 2 sheets of paper - 1 for sketch, 1 for the real deal. Time limit - 1hour with abit of extra time unknown. No references. No copying - as if..
So I chose 4 characters to star in the cover. They are more to explorer-warrior themes in the dress code. As for the background I chose a mythical woo ruins.. (not much to add) The characters include - 1 rich elf lady, 1 male swordsman, 1 tough guy, 1 asian girl explorer :D
I managed to rush through everything in about 1hr and 15mins time. Not to perfection though xD Saw some of the other's works when I submitted mine. Most I saw were chibis type of drawing. Some used markers, pens and even draw nice smooth round eyes. Clean! Some included bubble chats and bordering frames - I didn't t.t
And there you guys have it, abit of this! Ciaos and Happy New Year!

Back from CNY season
well had a nice Chinese New Year '09 edition starting off wif visiting relatives then filled with loud colours combo-ish fireworks at Pol's house and lastly a nice dinner at Sean's newly renovated sassy house(where we had fun wif his nintendo WII) were some of the cherishable moments.
qian jun and jai zing picked a perfect time to crash at howard's house for a lion dance while we were all there. We also had a nice lunch at Jay's that's beautifully prepared by his family.
the days flew by so fast that i missed out visiting some friends' houses like Rol's who was way too busy wif lion dance patrols(he and qian jun have burned on a darker complexion now) and proly ida's,who spend most of the week elsewhere.
QD had a new hairdo which i just noticed when she came over to my house along wif ida,jozphine and the gang. I have various comments bout that. one being that..
she looks like adelene koh during the spm years. another is that it looks like a wig XD nevertheless it does make her look cute so heh trying to balance the bad and good critics here :D and ida proly got taller i quoted* but her driving definitely never did improve from what i saw :P
and now im back in the hostel, still feeling travelsickness after the very disturbing flight due to the bad weather and my taxi driver decided to pick a very heavily swirving route to my Uni.
i keep seeing "AWAS!" signs and "KAWASAN KEMALANGAN" very frequently posted up along the way. You can picture my taxi driver waving his body to the form of each turn...there were hundreds of turns...
hmm trying to keep track of classmates and schoolmates...met one of my primary school students(standard 6) at Jay's house who just had his upsr exams last year. I taught him BM for a month and he scored a B and C for BM-related subs. It was good no? I should be creditted for the B i guess :D
let's see I was in the same flight on the way back here wif JJ(jong). He's doing american degree programme aiming for actuarist at INTI, which is the same uni as LYS is doing. JJ's doing the same course as Jossie, whom i forgot where she's studying at but somewhere in KL definitely. She's aiming for mass communications.
Adam's in Seremban studying at a MARA uni. He's aiming for either New Zealand or Australia as an engineer. Though he did mention he prefer New Zealand as it being the oddity and less populated by asians on contraire to Aussie.
Adeline Ling, QD, and Boon Tung are in the same uni, JPA scholars in Shah Alam. I know QD's due to US of A and BT en route to India soon as a doctor.
Who else hmmmm, Bui, Bel, and Amy Ngu are in UTPetronas, Perak..stuck there for the next 4++years in their repective engineering courses. Bui's going for Chemical Eng, while Bel's doing Civil Eng.
Sean and Howard are in Brisbane. Sean's going forward wif Urban development and Town planning course if im not mistaken.
VK, Jay and Jozphine are Curtiners, however VK and Jay are bound for Aussie too soon enough this year for further engineering courses. Jozphine's doing accounting.
And errmm Yee Ping and Sheila are studying in UK, so as Victor Ng. Yee Ping's in Birmingham if not mistaken.
Edward's doing doctorism in good ol' mother Russia.
Karen...still remember her aye? she's in...somewhere in Canada..not in Toronto or Vancouver im sure and she's developed a really strong canadian accent XD
hmm Voon Hui's studying pre-u in Seremban as well in KTJ(kolej tunku jaafar?) She's going for Geophysist? under sponsorship from Petronas to USA soon.
Kershia, Maggie, Yee Ching, Agnes, Lung En & Jion are in Taylor's doing A'levels. Maggie's gonna be a future bloodsucking-lawyer under JPA sponsorship :P hahah jk
Pol's doing his A'Levels in Riam aming for actuary.
Chuo's doing piloting in Sabah, using mount kinabalu as an obstacle course...
then there's Jackie and Alvin Lau in Aussie too.
May's done wif SAM in Taylor's maybe.
Nyuk Ching and Ah Piu are doing matrics atm.
Now we have Rol, Quan Jun, Ida, Dell, Ignatius, Jai Zing doing STPM this year(FFH too who's in sibu doing F6) and they must be working their asses off this year for the hardest Pre-U test in M'sia!
As for me, doing French Engineering in uniKL under JPA...bound for France next year.
So i may be missing out a few peeps, but as you can see for yourself, we're all very much spread out aye? mwehehehe conquering the world lil' by lil' yo :D

Happy Chinese New Year
Tomorrow is Chinese New Year already. Most of us are busy with families, for reunion dinner, for house cleaning.
At the moment, VK and Fui are now in Kuching, going to celebrate their CNY in kuching as usual. Most probably vk is going to meet kershia there. So, happy cny to u 2 there. But according to fui, the line there is fast, jz that the ip crashed wif GG. So, GG lo. Anyways, enjoy ur cny after 14++ hours of trip to kuching. :D
Hay and Bel are busy with house chores as well, but 2day cny eve, they still able to go basketball with lung en and how ven them. How nice. And currently, they are still busy with their FALLOUT3. Maybe can still meet them during CNY when go visiting. Anyways, happy CNY to both of u as well!
Rol now is busy with his lion dance and as well as his homework. And yea, most of the form 6 peeps are going to PUJUT for lion dance. And yea, gonna see them as well. Anyways, all the best in ur STPM rol. Study harder yea. Remember, homework is more important than dota even tho u cant finish it. xD....
Last but not least, me(Bui). Strucked with boredom after finishing all the chores. Go into GG, all afk. Go there just listen to Pol's complain that he is going to give away his explosions to his dad's friend. After finishing CODE GEASS, yea it is really bored. Should haf listen to Bel tat i shudn't finish tat fast. Wanna game wif FFH, but his super duper kickass line will dc easily.
Anyways, 10 hours more to 1st day of CNY. Wish all of u a happy CNY and enjoy yea~

Why is potatoSLAM running low on regular posts?
A blog should not be as quiet as this, we'd all agree on that. So I thought it'll be just fitting to end this stalemate by posting the top 5 reasons why we don't post up as often as we should, respectively...

potatoSLAMming into 2009
It seemed only like yesterday that Hay, Bel, Rol and I decided to share a blog. The month of June 2008, only 7 months ago, is now one of last year. What we did back then, to start potatoSLAM off, now served nothing but a distant memory...
Soon after that, Bui decided to join us. We were threatened and harassed, so we had no choice but to let him in. Till today we have had our doubts over our decision, especially after he did this just now at our Garena clan chat...

Ah well, the damage was done long time ago. Now that we 5 are in this blogging together, we'd do our very best to keep you readers entertained, mostly with Bui as the catalyst. We look forward now, to the year of 2009, and wish everyone a happy and prosperous year. SLAM!

Luzhou Camp
GREETINGS again~
Recently just went to a camp- LuZhou Camp. The camp starts at 18 Dec until 20 Dec. This time, im not the participant, but 1 of the committee member of the camp! :D at first, i tot im the only one going there, without friends. But hey, shun yii and chun sian and steve and some ex-ch seniors did join!
First day of the camp~
Reached Luzhou Centre around 7.30am. Then, i have to carry stuffs from the centre to downstairs. Breads, veges, eggs, foods, water..... all into transports, then here i go, to our destination of the camp- SOON HUP VILLA. As i reach earlier, so i went there earlier compare to others, which is around 9am.
Finally, reach soon hup villa. The driver, we called him Ah Bao, also a participant of the camp, drove a LONG, STEEP road, then we reach Villa 3. Stepping down the car, I can smell the hilux just like the burning rubber. Guess he uses his brake too much huh? His car cant b used at the moment.
After unloading everything, there is 1 of the committee, Ah Chiang, "Hey Yik Chieng. Come! Lets go to the hill there to set up the game. We need to tie the rope!" i was like ..... WTH? SOOOO TALL DA HILL!!! ....... Anyways, this is the view from the hill and another 1 is the knot with a clamp. Looks easy huh?
HOORAY! finish setting everything, and im so darn exhausted. .. And i was thinking, the game is during afternoon time, and I need to stay at so HIGH place. GG! gonna get burnt! Anyways, back to the activities. After lunch, they all get prepared. Then, they start their station games, with every station 25 mintues. Our station basically needs a lot of physical strength. Although there are ropes for them to climb, still some of them are like.. "AHHHHHH!!!! SO HARD!!!" "Y THE ROPE SO HOT? HOW TO USE IT?" 1 of them said, "im scared... of the grass, too sharp." ..........
But still, they climb up! And there goes some of the winners! :D

While im at the hill, shun yii is just beside the hall. So, this is shun yii!
At night, same as last year's camp, they have a talk about family, and 2 of them are going to share about their family- Ah Chiang and Jong Sii Keng. Both of them talked about how their family treat them and how they treat their family. Their stories do touched me a lot, and makes me think of my mama. T.T
Second day of the camp~
In the morning, they have their talk and we go to set the game for afternoon one. Basically, this game is very very fun, but need to test your determination as well. In this game, the starting point is splitted into 3 ways, which brings to different route, and different route has different difficulties. But, the ending point is the same. And LUCKILY it rains, so ......... it makes the game more dangerous, but more fun as well. A lot of people fell down, slipped down. Some cried for help, some nearly BODY SLAM onto me when they slipped down. Some cried. There is one girl, taking 1 stick, swinging here and there. And she nearly hitted me with the SHARP, LONG stick. =.=
Anyway, thats all about the game. No pic sorry because it is raining, and my hands are full with mud. At night, we have a talk about career. After the talk, they are separated based on their interest, eg. STPM, foundation, A-level, pilot, quantity survey, business, engineering. After the talk, all of us get crazy. All of us play a lot of IQ questions, and that brings lots of joy to the hall. While having fun, i looked at my leg..... Ouch! It is the scar i have it in the afternoon.
Third day of the camp~
This is the last day of the camp, and all of us prepare tissues for them as we know they are going to cry. And yea, they cried. But, im glad that they did learn something from the camp. Around noon time, we depart back to Luzhou Centre. While we wait at the cafe, i found this dog very cute, so adorable!!!!
1.00pm reached Luzhou centre. And i get sick after that. T.T
Thats all for now! And now, we (me, vk, bel, hay, fui + some other peeps) are going to movie. Ima going to prepare and makans! CIAOS!
