Luzhou Camp

GREETINGS again~

Recently just went to a camp- LuZhou Camp. The camp starts at 18 Dec until 20 Dec. This time, im not the participant, but 1 of the committee member of the camp! :D at first, i tot im the only one going there, without friends. But hey, shun yii and chun sian and steve and some ex-ch seniors did join!

First day of the camp~

Reached Luzhou Centre around 7.30am. Then, i have to carry stuffs from the centre to downstairs. Breads, veges, eggs, foods, water..... all into transports, then here i go, to our destination of the camp- SOON HUP VILLA. As i reach earlier, so i went there earlier compare to others, which is around 9am.

Finally, reach soon hup villa. The driver, we called him Ah Bao, also a participant of the camp, drove a LONG, STEEP road, then we reach Villa 3. Stepping down the car, I can smell the hilux just like the burning rubber. Guess he uses his brake too much huh? His car cant b used at the moment.

After unloading everything, there is 1 of the committee, Ah Chiang, "Hey Yik Chieng. Come! Lets go to the hill there to set up the game. We need to tie the rope!" i was like ..... WTH? SOOOO TALL DA HILL!!! ....... Anyways, this is the view from the hill and another 1 is the knot with a clamp. Looks easy huh?




HOORAY! finish setting everything, and im so darn exhausted. .. And i was thinking, the game is during afternoon time, and I need to stay at so HIGH place. GG! gonna get burnt! Anyways, back to the activities. After lunch, they all get prepared. Then, they start their station games, with every station 25 mintues. Our station basically needs a lot of physical strength. Although there are ropes for them to climb, still some of them are like.. "AHHHHHH!!!! SO HARD!!!" "Y THE ROPE SO HOT? HOW TO USE IT?" 1 of them said, "im scared... of the grass, too sharp." ..........



But still, they climb up! And there goes some of the winners! :D

At night, same as last year's camp, they have a talk about family, and 2 of them are going to share about their family- Ah Chiang and Jong Sii Keng. Both of them talked about how their family treat them and how they treat their family. Their stories do touched me a lot, and makes me think of my mama. T.T

Second day of the camp~

In the morning, they have their talk and we go to set the game for afternoon one. Basically, this game is very very fun, but need to test your determination as well. In this game, the starting point is splitted into 3 ways, which brings to different route, and different route has different difficulties. But, the ending point is the same. And LUCKILY it rains, so ......... it makes the game more dangerous, but more fun as well. A lot of people fell down, slipped down. Some cried for help, some nearly BODY SLAM onto me when they slipped down. Some cried. There is one girl, taking 1 stick, swinging here and there. And she nearly hitted me with the SHARP, LONG stick. =.=

Anyway, thats all about the game. No pic sorry because it is raining, and my hands are full with mud. At night, we have a talk about career. After the talk, they are separated based on their interest, eg. STPM, foundation, A-level, pilot, quantity survey, business, engineering. After the talk, all of us get crazy. All of us play a lot of IQ questions, and that brings lots of joy to the hall. While having fun, i looked at my leg..... Ouch! It is the scar i have it in the afternoon.




Third day of the camp~

This is the last day of the camp, and all of us prepare tissues for them as we know they are going to cry. And yea, they cried. But, im glad that they did learn something from the camp. Around noon time, we depart back to Luzhou Centre. While we wait at the cafe, i found this dog very cute, so adorable!!!!



1.00pm reached Luzhou centre. And i get sick after that. T.T

Thats all for now! And now, we (me, vk, bel, hay, fui + some other peeps) are going to movie. Ima going to prepare and makans! CIAOS!

12/12 Western Styleee

My brother Fui's bday today, and I have the luxury of being the ONLY potatoSLAMmer to celebrate WITH him =X. He had doubts on where to celebrate his bday, and he eventually chose Best Western. It has been a long while since we last stepped into that restaurant, so it was a reasonable choice afterall.

We booked a table for 5 at the non-smoking area. Coincidentally we were given the very same table we had for our last visit. The restaurant was cozy, and when we went in the waiter and waitresses were like...kept looking at us. Me, Fui and my sis all wore caps. So when we went in it was like...one gang like that xD. Soon the waiter gave us the menu, and Fui's eyes glowed like a marine on a mission @@.....

Of course, what's a bday celebration without any cakes? Especially with our mum around...she's a big fan of nice cakes. Fui was kinda full so mum made the ordering decisions. Tiramisu cake, brownie with ice cream and cheese cake.

12/12 Bday Boy

Well that's that for this time. I'm finishing this post exactly at 12 am, the end of Fui's bday :D. Anyway we wish him the best and thanks for being potatoslam's most loyal supporter =D.

Zombiefest

recently we've just got these games called Left4Dead and Call of Duty World At War. and mannnn aside from just dota-ing which is getting rather boring sometimes, we've indulged ourselves in a gruesome slugfest of zombie slaying on GG.
after jion's celebration arrival, rol del and perng stayed over at our house for a LAN party until 3 am in the morning, killing off the fast and furious infected zombies in Left4Dead.
Then there was an arrangement to have Bui and Vk over at my house today for another LAN party. and it started at 9 am dameee man you can see me and bel looking like zombies too! but it was really fun we played on COD5(call of duty waw for short) just the four of us surviving through levels of trigger-happy mayhem battling against nazi zombies.
the first few rounds were calm and soothing, much like a lullaby. but as the levels go on, you can hear bel giving a random warcry, Bui croaking shriekingly, and Vk screaming for mercy as wave after wave of diehard nazi zombies encircled our camping spots. we managed to fend them off by covering each others backs and spraying bullets in a 360°range until level 22. bel screwed up our defensive positions and all hell broke loose after that as if hell hasntt broken loose enough in there xD
woah played until 5pm man. really gila syiok xD
we really enjoyed ourselves, even Vk has no more worries after realizing his foundation results which just got out today. he passed all subs with flying colours with banyak distinctions. woho before that he was emoO-ing the whole time with mood swings like a flame dancing in a whirlwind! Congrats Vk! now we really need to plan our bball outings...need physical activity dammit XD

3 Homecomings Back to Back ++

Well I was the first to arrive back in Miri among most others. Even after waiting 7 hours at the airport(shared taxi fare with friends so thats why -.-" and including the 1hr flight delay zzz) the resulting end in having my beloved parents warmly receive me and the comfort of my home once again was worth it.

That's when the scheme to capture bel the next day started. My planned set of wheels was supposingly rol's unbelievably tough and durable proton saga that has seen many on-the-edge and close-shave situations(sit in rol's car and you'll see how "safe" you can be). Vk, Bui, Del, Perng, Pol, Fh, Jay, Jack, Joshua followed as well. But we were late to arrive at the airport xD because we stopped by Pol's house for some mahjong and game pirating -.-"

Upon seeing bel, nobody could ever guess that we were ever identical twins. Appearance had changed from hair, clothe style, and apparently height :P one head full of hair, the other totally lacking it; one dressed in slacks, the other in jeans; and one being taller than the other xD so yea, brought bel go makan kolo mee. Thats the first thing i did when i came back too xD after being in the west m'sia, the first thing you will wanna eat when you come back to s'wak is gan mien!

And yesterday jion had just arrived back in miri. Earlier we planned to kidnap him, but hell...who would dare to confront jion's father just for the sake of saving jion!? :x i heard that may was coming back on the same day. jion was on the same flight with IGNati and lilian.
so eventually jay desperately organized an outing with us which included the usual suspects with sean, phui, clement too tagging along except bui and vk cudnt make it because they were occupied. and hehe eventually we all went to yong seng's to eat kolo mee xD nostalgic sia
tho there was alot of confusion going on when the bill came and we paid, with some "extra" money left over:P

Speaking of which, sean is back too! im not sure if he ate kolo mee too when he first came back. tho we all went to watch a movie in parkson after bel came back. so i think that makes 4 homecomings here. that movie suxxxxx tho -Quarantine-
it doesnt contain a happy ending. and its really thrilling, alongside with shocking factors. but i think its definitely not worth the money to watch something captured with a camcorder concept much like "Cloverfield" :(

Now that we're all back, it definitely feels like we're still back in f5 or the holiday period whereby spm is over xD im sure you've noticed but will we ever grow up?! mwehehehe c'est trèssss sympaaaa! à bientôt!

Back Here Now...

Yea sure, halfway through this 2nd part of the year, Hay did come back for a week, so did Bel, but tonight with Bui and Bel coming back from UTP, it seemed like ages ago that all PotatoSLAMmers were in Miri...looks like Garena's gona hot up once again.
